Arrivals are the first photo and video moment of the night, captured as each student or couple enters — a little know-how makes it far less nerve-racking.

Before you walk in - Do a final check of your outfit, hair and any accessories just before you reach the carpet — there's usually a short queue, so use the wait to settle any last-minute details. - Decide in advance who you're walking in with (solo, as a couple, or as a group) so there's no hesitation right at the backdrop. - Bring your ticket or invitation out and ready if there's a check-in step before the arrivals area.

On the carpet - Walk in at a relaxed, natural pace — rushing is the most common reason an arrival photo doesn't land well. - Pause briefly at the marked spot, face the camera, and hold your pose for a second or two longer than feels necessary — it gives us time to get a sharp frame. - For video, a brief pause and a natural smile or wave reads much better on camera than rushing straight past. - If you arrive as a couple or group, a quick angle toward each other after the straight-on shot gives us a second, more natural frame before you head inside.
